Used to have a 70's El Camino. Wish I still had that truck, a workhorse. Love the air in the song. NICE. |

Re: Let's hear your latest stuff....right here
Thought I would share my project. This I recorded somewhere around 12 years ago in my 1 bedroom apartment with my Digi002R based system. I worked at Sweetwater so I had access to a lot of great equipment, I believe I recorded these guitars in mid-side configuration with an R121 and a Cactus. More than my rent. Anyway please like and subscribe. Thank you for listening!

Like the vibe and dynamics; especially when the vocals come in strong and at the right time. I wish I could express myself like that vocally. Maybe fade it from the 4min mark out to 4:10. The extra part at the end is cool but I felt fulfilled as a listener at the 4min mark (the song provided a really good high-point & release by that point) and the following 10 seconds lends itself perfectly to a fade out. The intro is fine (and there are no rules) but the current duration might be better in a full length album context. As a single, maybe amend the length of the intro a bit. You know people and their attention span on the internet these days. I like the vibe when the vocals come in and suggest you bring that in sooner. But nothing wrong with laying the full scope of ideas down. Makes for a nice & complete production reference. As far as the recording, I know it's a bedroom demo. Nevertheless, the song came across and I felt it~ Thank you for sharing keep up the expressive writing! |

Here's my latest piece, Altered E - Go!
Drums recorded in my 2nd sleeping room, guitars and bass recorder in my 1st and biggest sleeping room, sleeping in my living room. I did bass & guitars, someone else did the drums for me. Hope you enjoy it ;) |

Nobody commenting on my song? Am I so boring or did I insult somebody? Got no replies to my song Emotional Rollercoaster either.

Re: Let's hear your latest stuff....right here
Ok here goes another one. This tune is for me a breakthrough in tracking and mixing. Recorded with decent mics, not the all too regular SM57's and -58's. Plus I managed to balance the instruments better than before with EQ, compression and levels. There's still something to say about it, but I am very content with this little tune.
The song started as a dance track some 10 years ago, was then turned into a pop song by a guy named Triggerfinger, we covered it from him. Not many people commenting to my stuff, except for Basslik (thank you Basslik :-) ). But I just have to share this one for the joy of sharing and because I am so happy with it. I played the acoustic guitar and bass, I was joined by a singer and a drummer who made it all complete. We had a blast creating this one and I hope you like it. I Follow Rivers Enjoy ;) |

Hey guys I've got some pretty exciting news actually. I started a new project "Eye Am One" at the beginning of 2023. I've recently collaborated with Jeff Freidl on this project, and the next song "Bait And Switch" he tracked drums for in September. It will be released this December. In the meantime here is my latest release, "Such Is My Luck".

I placed my school assignment from Viljandi (Sound Recording ABC) on this temporary link:
>--deleted--< When you click on the file 'Urmase loetud reklaam.wav' ("Urmase loetud reklaam" translates to "Urmas' Read Advertisement" in English.) there, you can listen to it directly on your phone or computer. We learned tools such as EQ, DYN, effects, and this was one of the final assignments. Pro Tools was the program we were taught to use. I will replace this with my dad's bee recording at the end of November. It won't stay here forever because it's a school assignment. But maybe it's interesting to listen to. |

Hi Interlagos! Third Life, Averse Solo" is such a beautiful piece! I'm really grateful that you shared it here. I love everything about it—the soothing, beautiful melody, the high-quality recording, and the well-balanced stereo. It's tastefully done, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The cover art is also lovely, and that matters too!
I've included one of my own experiments here; it's nothing special. These are ice sounds that I recorded using a regular iPhone 14 Pro. For processing, I used various plugins, including the recently advertised 'Soundtoys free plate reverb plugin Little Plate,' as well as the latest Waves plugins like 'Silk Vocal'. Three different sound processing: https://soundcloud.com/urmas-punane/...social_sharing https://soundcloud.com/urmas-punane/...social_sharing https://soundcloud.com/urmas-punane/...social_sharing |

Hi inspire,
Thanks for your feedback ! I used to put some field recordings on my songs for having an ambiance and so breaking some sounds too close. Put some reverb on your recordings should be interesting. Have a great day ! Charles. |

Good field recordings, the third one reminds of a section on the Play Station game Resident Evil warehouse scene. |

Storm at Pirita. In the background, the clinking of yacht rigging against the mast is audible in the wind. The processing has been done using the 'Free Plugin Suite from Venn Audio'. In addition, the Soundtoys Little_Plate effect has been used. Recorded using TASCAM PORTACAPTURE X8, used with Tascam WS-86 Windscreen.

I played and tracked bass, Moog Taurus Pedals, tracked vocals for singer, mixed, with light loudness. Absolutely know nothing about mastering. *disclamier* I begged the singer his vocals needed to be louder, but he was the boss. We will redo the song mix with louder vocals in April. Cover tune of Geddy Lee, song called Home On The Strange. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCzKbRgBJRw |

Smashing tune. I like the guitar playing, as it was recorded via DI I think you have a terrific amp simulator. Can't tell the difference on my mobile, will check later on stereo speakers. Bass playing solid as a rock, very functional for the tune. I also like the modulations, it changes scale, how d'ya say that in English. It changes all the time and the bass and the guitar keep up perfectly. Voice could be a bit louder indeed. Furthermore, good work on the mix. Everything is in balance except for the vocals. Will check later on my stereo, but I am trained to feel a mix on mobile and I can tell on forehand, the mix is allright. And I like the playing. [edit] Sounds allright on laptop too. [/edit] Iain't it nice to play in a band? |

After 30 years of working in audio I started teaching myself how to DJ.
My first mix has done fairly well on Mixcloud, enough to get to 22 on the Minimal Tech House charts. If you wanted to help me out and get it into the top 10 then I'd be super pleased. https://www.mixcloud.com/e_circuits/...rcuits-091223/ |
