Missing the bass here listening on both my studio monitors (in treated room) and on the headphones.

Is your room treated? If not you might be compensating for hearing too much bass and it's taking the bottom out. Other wise it's really not bad, a bit more verb on the main vox and guitars to give it a bit more depth, just a tad on the guit doesn't need that much in this style. I dig the song.

Yeah that bass needs to be home in about 80 Hz 100hz 120 Hz somewhere in that area to fill out the bottom end for sure

I like it 👍

Yeah. I think that's the problem. No treatment in room. Just sheetrock😝 That will be my homework.
Thanks very much for your replies YYR123 and Emcha_audio. I appreciate it.

Do my vocals really sound like a telephone?

They sound ok b/c we don't know what you are trying to do nor what you want

I hear Leonard Cohen when I listened to it - however Leonard has much more bass frequency in his spoken/half sung vocals

I think I put to much LP on it. I'll take a listen. Shoot, I don't even know what I want to sound like😝
But like you said, it might to do with my room acoustics.

Are you talking about my track because YYR123 is also talking about bass on another track?

If you are replying to me, thanks for your advice.

I don't have a treated room, it's just a standard room and is pretty terrible as far as acoustics go (it's all I have available).

I put some on the guitars but will try a little more and yea, the vocals are a little too dry.

I know what else I wanted to ask. How are my levels? To hot? Not hot enough?
Thank you so much for your thoughts😊

Further to this, do you mean missing bass (as in the guitar) or bass in the overall mix? If the latter what is the best way of boosting this? Is there a better way than just chucking an eq on there and boosting?
