New Sonnox Restore bundle
These look great
http://www.sonnoxplugins.com/pub/plu...ts/restore.htm But for someone who owns all Sonnox plugins and purchased the Sony Oxford Restoration Tools just a few weeks before they were discontinued, I don't think their exchange offer, valid until end February 2010, is very generous... |
Re: New Sonnox Restore bundle
Just watched their Video, looks quite interesting.

No TDM = no deal

Re: New Sonnox Restore bundle
Probably too much latency for TDM.

Re: New Sonnox Restore bundle
I don't think the previous restoration bundle was TDM. It was only RTAS with lots of latency and a few bugs which were never addressed since the product was let down about 2 years ago. They just made sure it would remain compatible with the new PT platforms... That's why I find their exchange offer a bit unfair in terms of pricing compared to the full price of their new bundle.

Well, the price is TDM isn't it?

Re: New Sonnox Restore bundle
No the new version is only native too. There was never a Sony Oxford or Sonnox restoration bundle with TDM.

Re: New Sonnox Restore bundle
I spoke with the Oxford team at AES this year, and saw a demo of this package. Looked very slick, so I just finished checking out the demo. My initial impression is that the looks outperform the usefulness, but I'm going to spend some serious time with them for the next 2 weeks. I've got high hopes.
Whenever I inquire about the lack of TDM plugs with a manufacturer (which has been happening more frequently), I get a response that blames the lack of processing precision within the TDM architecture. I guess RTAS/AS permits higher internal precision math? But what I really think is that the developers know what's coming, and have made non-disclosure agreements with Digi. |
