Transfuser crashing PTU 2022.9
I'm probably the only guy still using this plug-in... BUT...
... as of updating our PT rig to 2022.9 this am, anytime I launch AIR's Transfuser plug, the system crashes. PT allows me to assign Transfuser to a track just fine. Also, if the Transfuser track is already completed, playback works w/o problems. When I click on the inserted plug to open it up for editing, however, PT crashes. Tried it in multiple different sessions... same result. Created a brand new session w/ one stereo instrument track- same result. I use the AIRIEP3 plugs a lot in my work... the rest of their plugs are working fine. I've reached out to InMusic/AIR & await reply, but past history tells me not to hold my breath. Additionally, I've sent multiple crash reports to Avid this am. System specs below... anyone else out there using this plug w/ 2022.9? |

Transfuser 2.0.7.21000 works in PT 2022.9 on Windows - are you running this version: Mac Installer - Transfuser_2.0.7.21000 macOS Catalina, Big Sur & Monterey Compatible (M1 Mac not supported) https://help.pluginboutique.com/hc/e...-Download-Area In the plug-in: (RHS of ‘air’)>Spanner>Content Location>”Choose new directory. Requires restart” (Track>’no insert’ then re-instantiate Transfuser = all good here!) |

Re: Transfuser crashing PTU 2022.9
If you never used 2022.9 in your work before, because it never existed,
I suggest you ought to consider updating to a new plug in that has more support, or for now stick with the version of PT that allows you to do your work. Obviously running a system with the oldest piece of ______ inside the newest shiniest _______ does NOT matter compared to getting "lots of work" done, right? Also, You can rename in your Application folder "Pro Tools" to something like "Pro Tools.9" and then you can install the older version and work with it until the time AIR provides an update or you find a replacement. You can run both at the same time. There MIGHT be some overlap in referenced folders etc/libraries etc, but for basic testing should be good to go. Do your main work in the stable-for-you version. |
