how to creat a starting place

Hello all,and thanks in advance. I'm trying to find out how to establish a starting spot in the middle of a song for a lead part,on 2 new seperate tracks( two differant mic's one amp) .I've been spoting them seperatly too line up and it's a real drag. I've try'ed to find it in the manual and dont know what it's called. Can the 2 tracks be grouped so both will stay together? I have mulitable takes and there's got 2 b a better way to do this than manually. Please help.

You can region group by selecting the required regions, then pressing ctrl-alt-G

Is this what you're looking for?

Ya know.... I never understood this question.

If you are creating two new tracks and cutting lead guitar to an existing song, how can the lead ever start in the wrong place if you are listening to the song while you're playing the lead? Unless maybe you are trying to INSERT a lead break where there was none before?
