Testing out PT Artist subscription
I'm thinking, I might check if a PT Artist subscription might be the thing for me, now that I'm retired, I mostly don't record anymore, and I'm just keeping a PT rig for having fun, re-mixing old stuff from my studio days. So I think I might be able to live with the track numbers limit. Flexibility of subscription, being able to not pay for a few months when I don't need it, might suit me also.
And the cost is OK. I could sell my perpetual license together with my unused reinstatement code for a nice piece of cash. So I'm just checking; I could just get a month Artist subscription today, put it on my iLok, de-activate my expired perpetual license from the ilok key, and see how it goes, right? Using the same iLok account? And will it work on my PT2020 version? I'm not ready to go current yet. Come to think of it; would I be able to switch to a PT Studio subscription for a month if I wanted to? And then go back to Artist sub? |
Re: Testing out PT Artist subscription
Pretty sure you will need to move to the latest version for the licenses to work as expected:o I'd move to Studio if it wasn't for my HDN hardware. Of course, that could change:o

Thanks, Jeffro.
All my questions answered. I'm in no hurry. Things are working just fine. But good to know I have the option. |
