need help on routing tc helicon quintet

I'd like to do the following, but need help:

1) Route the quintet to use on an existing vocal track -- would need to take an analog out from digi into the quintet, and would like to return to digi by way of the spdif out on the quintet (that's the only spdif the quintet has).

2) record the return effect on a separate track.

thanks,

Giovanni

I don't have a quintet, but here's what I would do if I were in your shoes:

Create a send on the existing vocal track to an available analog out, for instance 8. Patch a cable from output 8 to the analog in of the quintet.

Patch a cable between the spdif out of the quintet, and the spdif in of 'the digi' (you never said which one). Make sure both units are clocking correctly.

Create a new audio track, stereo or mono depending on what kind of effect you're going for from the quintet, set it's input to be the proper spdif in, and you should be good to go.
