Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 Audio File Length change upon import / Sample Rate issue

Certain files will be slowed down slightly (about a whole step) whenever I'm batch importing tracks into the session. The Session is set up at 48kHz/24bit, AIFF audio format, Internal Clock Source (003 interface). In the import window, the Destination Sample rate is 48k and the quality is TWEAK HEAD. Running OS X 10.5.8

The files I'm receiving are various sample rates and bit depths (all are AIFF), which I then bring into the session to put them against the QT movie that is in the session.

When they are batch imported a few of them will be fine, but more than half will have slowed down by a whole step and are a few seconds longer in length than the file in the Finder folder where they came from.

If I then try to import only ONE of the files by itself from the same Finder window, in the same manner, then it will be fine.

If I go into the session's Audio Files folder, both the first and second imports are 48k/24bit, but one is slightly larger in size and duration.

Any suggestions/advice?
