Importing files

Hi
I recently downloaded pro tools free and i am having trouble importing files. It doesnt recognize the aiff files that i have on cd. I have a new 800mhz imac with the superdrive

What bitrate are your sessions? To import a 16bit AIFF to a 24bit session you need to use "Import audio from other movie..." in the movie menu or "Import & convert" in the region bin menu.
