A thumbs up from me. Strong, but easy on the ears.

So this was actually one of the first songs I ever wrote some 20 + years ago
But I have rewritten it and just recently got around to re recording it and making a video slide show for it

I like the smooth dynamics, everything breathes as opposed to alot of crushed songs on the radio. Feels natural. Nice job. Warm as well.

Reminds me of Neil Pearts lyrics LOOSING IT.

I was ready to open a new door and retire, but this darn pandemic will have me work a few more years.

I haven't played my bass in years until a couple years ago a client needed a bass track and it was a simple punk bass drive. After the session with new strings on my bass it got me inspired to doddle down an idea (instrumental).

Used a Avid drum loop and chopped it up. Simple bass and earthy synth sound, and just tinkered a little melody on my Larrivee C-03 florentine cutaway. Kind want to do more if time permits.

Kind of wanted to come behind the weird beat on bass. Slightly off but it seems to work.

Re: Let's hear your latest stuff....right here

Here is a suggestion to Avid for an addition to ProTools software. Rather than having to run a plugin on the master fader or external EQ to tune your rooms, I would love to see in the Hardware window, a 31 band stereo master EQ that you can add to any or all of your outputs. You can tune your outputs to any room, head phone mixes ect... Built right into the software. NOT as a plugin, but a inserted 31 band EQ in the Hardware window where you set your outputs. Set it for your room and leave it. Its always on your selected main outs unless you go into the hardware window and disable it. With savable presets.
We all know its a struggle to tune monitors for rooms of all types and sizes. I am currently running the ARC 3 by IK. I transfered the setting to an external eq and retested till i had a flat result. Works great as long as no one changes my hardware EQ.
An easy fix with no hardware is build it into Pro Tools. PLEASE!!!!
Thank you, Keep ROCKIN!! Craig B

Jaz The Rapper - We Will Shine/Shades of Majenta

I posted this awhile back, but still had much to learn. Went back to the drawing board, made big improvements to the picture and sound.

It's now prime time on Jaz's official channel, and the single is available everywhere Neil Young is and isn't. :D

All the music you ?. Very professional.

My first video. I was caught in a micro-burst and tried to help a guy stuck in his car.

I replaced all the storm audio and replaced with professional samples. Even the power window is a sample (LOL). Added a little slap bass.

That was well done!:p There were times I hunted for samples to use, but ultimately I did the foley myself. Even the shoe squeaks in the song that plays over the credits. That's me in a basketball gym at 5am. lol

Geronimos Cadillac

Historically Geronimo was not actually given an automobile BUT he did participate in a photo op in White mans garb while seated at the wheel of a LocoMobile (not actually a Cadillac but Locomobile does not rhyme with "take me back" ;) )

Finally upgraded and finished an old track of mine; The Journey. Not as professional as most of the tracks here, but I think I made a decent production. I wrote this in 2010, but recorded it with gear that is outdated now. The Metric Halo interface that I have now, smokes the old Alesis HD24 that I used back in the days. Better guitar amp, PT improved a lot, so that makes for a brand new, professional sound.

Check it out here:

The Journey

Oh and my voice sucks (cigarette smoke, to be more specific :D). I'm aware of that. Still looking for a trained singer who can lay down the vocal tracks for this song. Collab would be great.

Thanks for your time :-)

Very cool. I like to rework the drums for you. I'm good at making drums sound more human if interested.

Hi Basslik, thanks for tuning in. The drums are as human as you can get; played by a drum teacher. I'm fine with those. I could use a singer however to redo the vocals. These are the weak spot in the song imo. Thanks though [emoji120] and if you like to sing, be my guest [emoji846][emoji6]

Well I'm planning to do some electronic music, with electronic drums, so I might invite you to do a couple of drumtracks for me. Editing drums is something I need to work on.....

I wouldn't let you do the drums from scratch. Only when I've made some drum tracks by myself I'd ask you to see if there's anything to improve. Don't know if I am a winner but I'm certainly not a loser.

For the song posted above I want a male voice, but maybe some other tracks she could sing on, when I've got a proper text. But thank you for offering, that's very kind of you.

Take care.

You gave the right hint :o I'm very keen on working together with other people, where we all do some part of the production. In the context of this conversation though, it wouldn't be appropriate to let you do all the drums from scratch, as it looked like in my first reply. Often I post before thinking, and this time I made myself look very lazy. Gotta be careful when in a chat though. I saw on your profile you like to help people out, but I understand you want them to do their own share too, and not let you do all the work.

About your daughter, is it allright that I come back to you when I have an arrangement ready for recording vocals? I'll provide the text and melody, if she likes to be given that much instructions. Maybe she wants to give the song a touch of her own creativity though, that would be understandable.

First I'll be having some work to do though.

Peace.

Regarding the drums. not a drummer, just like working them after recorded.

Re: Let's hear your latest stuff....right here

And another one. Still struggling with the sound and balance, but this comes close:

Emotional Rollercoaster

Last year I recorded some factory noises, amongst which a penetrating high beep on constant pitch. I put it in the UVI Falcon sampler, added some high harmonics to it and spread it out over the keyboard. Gave it a reverb in PT and voilà, it's amazing how you can make your own synth sounds. But that's probly trivial for the more experienced technicians. The song starts with it.

Thanks for listening :-) ;)
