hey thats cool though Gene, you gotta start somewhere, and the sooner you learn that MIDI stuff, the better. Theres a lot of cool stuff you can do with it. Did you play everything on that song Live and edit it through MIDI? Or do you paint it on the MIDI grid(IE, cheat, like me, hehe)?

Yes- that was a Steinway D. C&A #496 actually. I used a pair of cheap Octava pencil condensers spread out about 4 feet apart and about 3 feet away from the piano. I ran them through a bellari rp220. I have a feeling that it had more to do with the fact that it was recorded in a concert hall and with a $93,000 piano. Thanks for listening. |
