GrooveCell feedback

TLDR: I think GrooveCell still has a long way to go before it's ready for regular use.

Basic functionality issues which I believe could be easily addressed, with the most annoying features in bold:
  • Sequencer track names don't match the Pads, so finding which pad is the one I want to program in the sequencer takes longer than it should. When you're in the flow, you don't want to have to stop for dumb little things like figuring out which sample is in "Pad 13". Also, for added confusion Pad 1 is at the bottom of the Pad layout, but the top of the Sequencer page.
  • No keyboard shortcuts to easily switch between views.
  • No Undo button. I tried a little pitch automation of a sample in the sequencer and didn't like it. There was no way to undo my last change.
  • Again on the sequencer pad automation - it's too coarse for the size of the area to draw automation, with no "hold CMD for fine adjustments" as per usual PT standards.
  • Pads don't light when they're playing. Frustrating when you're playing a sequence and trying to figure out which pad to select to apply changes.
  • I didn't notice the near-invisible tabs in the sample view until I read the manual just now to try figure out if there is an Undo button. Most people these days are used to common tabs being at the top of a GUI - why put them at the side?
  • No individual fine FX controls for signals not going out the master output. I can only apply a specific pre-delay to ALL of the sends?
In conclusion, I think it'll be a year or two before I play with GrooveCell again. While it seems like a reasonable start, it's not ready for smashing out ideas quickly.
