protools is crashing my computer
 

I am new to macs as of today, I bought a 17" Imac dual core intel and so far I can't get my mbox2 to power up on it and every time I try to open the Pro Tools that came with my mbox2(7.0) my computer crashes.. also when I attempt to click on the mbox2 that shows up in system preferences it says to contact the designer because i need new software, any suggestion would be much appreciated!

for starters you need 7.1.1 then get the cs1 update
