iZotope Announces Nectar2

Re: iZotope Announces Nectar2
iZotope really needs to stop doing this. I don't have any money left over for myself. RX3, Ozone 5, Trash 2, Alloy 2, and now Nectar 2?

>Anybody know if Nectar will still be ported to AAX 64 bit or will they drop support for Nectar 2?
I haven't heard anything. Considering the fact that iZotope is offering a free upgrade to anyone who purchased Nectar v1 on Aug 1 or later, my guess would be that they are not porting it. |
Re: iZotope Announces Nectar2
Its aax64 works on PT11
this is an amazing plugin.. btw worth demoing to see for yourself |
Re: iZotope Announces Nectar2
The demo is great and the harmonies sound really good, but its a CPU monster! My PT11 project is running around 2% before Nectar2 and 50-60% after I open Nectar2. I do have all 4 harmonies and most of the effects on but damn thats alot of resources. Anyone else seeing this? and this is an audio only project, no VSTi's or no eq/comp etc either. I was just about to but Nectar2 because the price is right until the 30th, now I'm not sure.

One instance uses 16-18% of one core. Each additional instance uses about 16-18% of a different core. After 8 instances on my rig, this starts to go up. 12 instances showed 22-24% on each of my 12 cores. 16 instances showed CPU usage on 8 cores to be 23%, with the remaining 4 cores at 40% (averages out to be 28% per instance). This shows that the average CPU usage per Nectar instance scales fairly well, but there is an increase. So it looks like it scales pretty well until you have more instances of Nectar than cores. |
