my mbox 2 makes consistent \"popping sounds\"
 

after a couple of minutes of play back or recording i get really loud popping and static from my m box 2. i have built my system based on the required components suggested on the web site. how am i able to fix this problem?

There are MANY different qualified components to be found here.
It would be very helpful to know the details of your particular system and Pro Tools version.

Go through the suggestions in the General Troubleshooting - Pro Tools 6 & 7 Win XP "stuck" at the top of this forum. If nothing there is of any help, use the Sandra program linked in that thread to post a detailed system report.

thanks. i have pro tools LE 7.3/mbox 2/windows xp sp2/ intel 946m motherboard/pentium d 2.8ghz cpu/ 1g of ram/ 60g 7200rpm sata hard drive/ 180 g 7200rpm sata hard drive.

i hope this is useful any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
