Pro Tools 8 Session Suddenly Will Not Open??
 

Okay so I've been working on a session on my laptop editing Drum tracks. After a lot of work today the computer got laggy and eventually protools froze while opening a plugin so I had to restart the computer.

On reopening protools, the exact same session will not open and I get an error message saying "This session cannot be opened because it was created with a previous version of protools."

Has anyone ever heard of this or what to do to reuse the session? Im going to try opening it on another system and see if the session is corrupt or what.

My only thought is that since win 7 is technically not supported yet, this could be some kind of buggy error?

PLEASE hit me with any help at all.

Have the very same problem, was working fine then turned on my pc and file will not open. For some strange reason I dont have any back up files either!!

i thought this sounded familiar but i can't find anything about it right now. maybe there was a cs update. did you try importing parts of your session into a new session?
