I have an old 002 kicking around that I had briefly working on Win 11 (same drivers as the 003). Should work, but not officially supported.

Re: Does 003 driver Work on Windows 11?
I use Pro Tools Studio 2022.10. I installed Windows 11 several weeks ago. With Windows 10, my 003 worked great. After Windows 11 installed, my 003 console no longer works, except as a basic sound card. People saying it should work on Windows 11 if it previously worked on Windows 10 are drawing an incorrect conclusion. I have tried to get the 003 working again, but it will not work, and none of the Windows 11 updates have helped. I just tried Pro Tools with Windows compatibility mode, and it still does not get the 003 to work. I deleted the 003 audio driver and reinstalled, but still not working.:(

Re: Does 003 driver Work on Windows 11?
Thank you for taking the time to reply on this issue. Unfortunately, I am already using the TI driver. I have also tried switching over to the legacy driver. Neither will work. I had no issues at all with the 003 while I was still on Windows 10; however, the same day I migrated over to Windows 11, my 003 stopped working--except as a simple sound card. I also tried reinstalling drivers and reinstalling the 003 software driver. Still no luck. The only software change made prior to the 003 issues was the switch to Windows 11.
I found a post from Presonus dated October 5, 2021, titled, "Windows FireWire (1394) Device Driver Discontinuation Notice." In the notice, it states, "Changes in the Windows 11 operating system prevent the device drivers for FireWire products from functioning as designed." Since the 003 system is a FireWire (1394) system that is no longer supported by Avid, it appears that Windows 11 means the end for the 003. |
Re: Does 003 driver Work on Windows 11?
I was in a similar situation a while back when I upgraded my rig to an i9-10900k. My Digi 003c was running smoothly on Windows 10, and I was worried about the same thing. What I found out is that your windows 10 key can actually be used to activate Windows 11 as long as it's a legitimate copy. So, you won't need to buy a new key for Windows 11. As for the Digi 003c, it should work on Windows 11 too, but you might need to check for updated drivers or compatibility issues. I'd suggest doing a bit more research and maybe contacting Digi support to confirm, but you might not need to replace your sound card after all.
