digi core driver FIXED ...
 

hey guys,

i have lost the ability to use core audio driver 6.7 on HD system with itunes, garageband, logic ...

anyone else have this problem ....

direct I/O with abelton live works fine .... just wanted to add that ...

i have reloaded the 6.7 core driver and uninstalled and loaded 6.5.2 to no avail ....

i am now on 6.7cs8 and 10.3.7 ... info below is not updated yet

digi core manager was stuck at 96k .... reset to 44.1 in hardware setup , restart and all is well .....

i work at 96k all the time but i did not expect the core manager to not be able to change with the program that is using it ....

Digi thank you for responding to my post ... i had tried reinstalling ....

Try deleting Digisetup.OSX and DAE Prefs (folder) from:

MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Preferences

Empty trash, restart and try it all again.

done all that .....

repair permissions ... reload drivers ...

thrown away all prefs .....

This happened to me recently, and I ended up opening the audio midi setup (applications/utilities/audio midi setup) and reselected my hd i/o as my audio out. It somehow mysteriously changed on me.

do you have a sync i/o? if so, maybe you have a clocking issue. or are you running the 192 or 96 i/o as internal?

What happens when you launch the core audio manager application? Is sound output defaulting to built-in Apple hardware? What happens exactly when you attempt to use iTunes with the Digi Core Audio driver?

You may want to delete Library > Audio > Plug-Ins > HAL > DigidesignCoreAudio.plugin and then reinstall it.

I also have an issue with core driver. When I install on my 1.25 Alluminium Laptop I cant hear the modem or dial tone any more, any ideas?
