No sound from VI
 

I have Arturia Analog Lab instantiated on an instrument track, and no matter what controller, I can not get any sound. It happens on other VI's as well, it is frustrating, I can use Nuendo or Logic, no problem, but Pro Tools will not work with the VI's sometimes it plays nice other times it does not, I'm on a Mac, and I'm running the latest version of PT Ultimate 2021.10

Have you checked the 'Instrument' part of the Instrument track, where you set midi in and out?

Yes, I have it set to “All” sometimes I go by controller and exact channel number, but most of the time I have to quit PT then re instantiate and then it might pass , I have midi monitoring and I can see the notes controller numbers etc, but PT just ones not respond

It might help if you were to post a screen shot of the session track in question. Its hard to tell what might be going on without seeing exactly how you have the instrument track set up.

Don't need to put the track into record - just set the 'use first selected MIDI track' for Default Thru Instrument in the MIDI prefs in PT.

I'd like to thank everyone who tried to help, I just removed the VI, quite PT, then put VI back on track and it worked, something weird, but I'm working, the tip from Musicman691, was super good...thankyou

Glad you got it solved! Next time you might try duplicating the track. I’ve had luck with this whenever a VI stops working.
