How do I turn on the function? Cant find it anyplace

Private messages are not enabled on the DUC. With over 60,000 registered members, there are a few reasons not to have it on. Besides the extra drain on the servers and the DUC software, there would be a lot of customer service issues dealing with people getting unwanted and/or vicious private messages.

So it is not a feature we plan on enabling. There are options in the member profiles to list AOL, ICQ, or YIM instant messenger names. Users can click on a members profile and get one of those instant messenger addresses if those users wish to be contacted that way.
