Avid Scorch Store
 
Hello,

I have installed Avid Scorch in my iPad 2. I am correctly registered and I am logged in but I cannot see any song to purchase in Store.

A friend of mine did the same but he can log in and purchase scores.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall, reset my iPad, but did not solve my issue.

When I try to browse the store, I receive an error message saying "No results found".

Hey. I have the same problem.I own an iPad 2 aswell and I get the same message when I go to the scorch store. I've tried the same things you mention on ur post. Did u manage to solve the problem?

Hi Gianluca.cherubini and Loucas,

I've tried reproducing the behaviour you describe - I wondered if it might be because your iPads are likely to not be using English as a primary language. I have tried setting my iPad to use Italian, but that doesn't seem to make a difference. Could you try setting your iPad to English yourselves to see if this changes anything?

Thanks for your reply but that didnt seem to work either. I had british english as my language and i switched it to english but still the same. Nothing appears in the store.

I bought Avid Scorch from the Ipad Apps Store just now. However, when I try to browse and search the Scorch Store, the default categories under "Featured" namely "Popular" and "Recommended" do not turn up any results. My list is blank. I have tried to re-install Avid Scorch and it is still the same. When I try to search for available scores, the App closes automatically. When I try to "See All" under "All Popular Scores", I get "no scores found".

I have read your initial advice to make sure that the Language setting on my Ipad is set to English. I have done this too and I am still encountering the same problem.

Which country do you live in? It may be that there are licence issues preventing some of the music being distributed in your country. Let me know and I will look into this for you.

Thank you for your quick reply Joe. I am in the Philippines. It's not just some of the music in the Scorch Store that I can not view or access. I can not access all. :confused: 'Appreciate you looking into it. It doesn't make sense that the Apps Store gave me access to buy the app if I wouldn't be able to buy any of the scores. I encountered licensing constraints when I tried to buy this app called Pandora because it is not available in my country. But with this Pandora app, I couldn't buy the app right from the start.

Hi Cecile,

What country is your iTunes account associated with? If your account is registered in the Philippines, you should certainly be seeing scores in the store.

Thank you for your reply Ben. I checked thrice. My iTunes account is associated to my home country, Philippines. I do understand that there are only certain types of items from the iTunes Store that I can buy in my country. But you say that I should be able to buy scores from the Avid Scorch Store. Since I purchased the app more than a month ago, all I can view and access under My Scores are the 10 free sample scores. The Scorch Store turns blank for all the other categories such as "Featured," "New Releases," "Top Scores," etc. It's been more than a month since I purchased the App. I hope to be able to access the scores. I hope Avid's tech team can provide prompt support. Thanks for your reply and I hope you can help resolve the problem.

I'm afraid to say that I can't seem to replicate the issue. I created a Philippine account and I could see the scores in the store OK.

I'll private message you the login details and you can try it to see if there's a problem specific to your account.

Last December 2011, I installed Avid Scorch for the iPad. Didn' t work though. I gave up and decided I would just wait until they fixed whatever bug was causing my problem. I would try opening the App every now and then. Finally, when I tried opening the App this June (after 7 months) viola! Scores finally appeared and all was well. Yesterday I updated my iPad to ios 5.1.1. Guess what?! My problem is back and the Scorch Store doesn't turn up with any score at all. I hope they fix the problem soon.

I recently purchased an SAB choir arrangement of "Home," arranged by Alan Billingsley. It was VERY difficult to find in the Scorch store. I tried entering "Home" into the search bar, but had to scroll through 14 pages of titles, including every song that contained the word "home" in it (Sweet Home Alabama, Take Me Home Country Roads, There's No Place Like Home, etc...), before finally coming to the very last song (out of 1054!), and there it was... this process took me 10 to 15 minutes. It seems logical to me that either a: exact matches should come first, or b: the songs should be listed alphabetically (or perhaps both). Then, either a page number list or an alphabet list should allow the user to jump over pages.

Unfortunately, I had to leave the store, and then come back to it later to order the song, and once again, the only way I could find that exact arrangement of that exact song, was to scroll through all 14 pages, 1054 songs again! I would appreciate the search features of the store to be improved. Thanks!
