Seeking advice on older setup
Hey all, I am about to install 8HD on an older setup and will be flying blind as to the order of events(especially as a PC guy). Here is what I have:
G5 running Leopard HD3 PCI cards in a Digidesign chassis(with PCI card in the G5) Control 24(tested good on my Ultimate rig with neyrinck software) 2x 192 IO's(have all required cables) Glyph SCSI rackmount with SCSI card in G5(already tested this successfully) Original iLok with HD8 license(will have this last bit early next week) 8HD installer downloaded Legacy iLok downloaded The system currently has 8LE installed(tested successfully with Mbox 1), but I can remove if needed. Mostly wondering about the order of PT software install vs the chassis connection. Any insights are welcome:o |

Maybe re-ask under "macOS"?

Re: Seeking advice on older setup
Hmmm, not a bad idea, but while waiting, I was able to download both the Getting Started guide and the full HD8 manual on pdf. Reading thru tells me to install all the hardware first, then the software. I spent last night installing and updating Leopard, quicktime, etc and tonight will install Pro Tools and test(if the iLok is in the mailbox today:rolleyes:). Thanks for the suggestion:D
