Unable to move ilok licenses from cloud to ilok.
 

Greetings. There is a photo attached for reference.

I'm in the process of downloading pro tools 2018.1 and installing the ilok & licenses. At this point in the process it shows that the licences are on the ilok cloud but not on the ilok.

The licenses don't show up at the tab at the top where it says "Available", so I am unable to move the licenses to the ilok. Does anyone know how I should proceed?

Go to File > Close Cloud Session to make them available to activate to your iLok again.

Those cloud sessions what are they for? This was working very inconvenient. As soon as my Mac lost internet I had to stop working on my session. I activated my license as a cloud one by mistake.

I tried closing the cloud session but as soon as i had to run pro tools again it defaultly log in to the cloud session again ... how can i stop that ?

Activate to your ilok before running pro tools.

hi there,

is it possible to move licences from the ilok stick to the cloud back and forth indefinitely often ?

Besides Avid do other developpers have differnet rules or restrictions?

The concept for the cloud licenses, when available, is you don't NEED to have a physical iLok plugged into your computer, as long as you do have an iLok account and the licenses aren't already authorized on an iLok.

In other words, you could have ProTools installed on two different computers and have the cloud authorize the computer you're working on without having to move the iLok. The biggest drawback is you MUST have internet access the entire time your session is running.

Thanks Eric, I understand the concept but that doesn't answer my question.

When I don't have Internet I want to put back all my licences to the physical Ilok temporarely and then back again to the cloud later. Is this possible unlimited times and is the process fast?
