Insertion follows playback button 10 times the size?
 

Would anyone else find a plugin, like a big floating window useful? I sometimes think it's on when it's off and off when it's on. Swearing ensues.

I wonder if the AAX protocol would support such an add on? Probably not.

It's the key "n" in Keyboard Commands Focus mode.

Your best bet could simply be going into custom Keyboard Shortcuts and turning that shortcut off. You could re-assign it to "500 modifier keys + n" or whatever you like.

As soon as i typed that, i wished i could delete. Thanks for the reply though.

I know it's the N key.

I just forget which mode i'm in and i don't always notice the little rectangle at the top. Getting over it. My main problem was i'd got into the bad habit of covering the button with my mix window.

Seems there is a clear deciding factor, given you can change the behaviour of the commands focus "N" key now:

Less annoying setting a new command and avoiding the issue?
Or less annoying just dealing with it?

I'm LOVING modifying even anciently familiar key commands.
