2022.10: Can't close, save, save as...

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
This is the 3rd time it happens to me:
Working on a sessions and I loose almost all of the File menu commands.
Cant close session, save, save as, save copy in etc.
My license is on an iLok.
Any Ideas?
Luckily the auto save works so I can force quit pro tools and open from backup.

So, you also can't quit PT?
Can you do anything in PT? Or is it frozen?

From your screenshot it looks like my menu when there is no session open…

Can't you see the tracks in the bg?
Of course there's a session running.
I can edit, play, record, automation.
I cant do the grayed commands.

OK, sorry for trying to help.
I'll not bother again.

Sorry, that wasn't my intention.
It's just obvious that the tracks are there.
Sorry if you got somewhat negative vibe.

Does the problem happen in classic view also?

You say 3rd time it has happened (is that 3 rd time with this session) or with other sessions also ?
Reason I ask is Mojave is not supported for 2022.10,, the compatibility chart says Catalina 10.15.7 and newer.

But if other sessions are working and only this session then I would guess something is corrupt in this specific session and I would see if you can click in the clip list and export clips as files and then create a new session import and see if it will work..
OR simply force quit PT and trash preferences and then try that session from a backup .
But if it involves other sessions I would think about updating your OS or downgrading your PT version .

I get this as well. Also on Mojave. ( http://duc.avid.com/showpost.php?p=2651208&postcount=6 )

Usual tactic : shrug shoulders, restart ProTools, curse and moan. (Rinse and repeat.)
