Cannot create NEW PLAYLISTS
 

I am using pro tools 8 for the first time, have a fresh mac (macbook pro) and have upgraded my software from the 7.4 version that came with my Mbox.
Am in the middle of a session and need to create a new playlist, when I try, I receive the following warning:

FILE NOT OPEN (-38) WHILE READING "DFW.VBE"

What does this mean? Anyone encountered it before? I tried opening another session (one of the templates provided with PT 8) and that has the same problem.

Any thoughts?

What version of OSX? If by "fresh" you mean NEW(as in Snow Leopard) then 7.4 won't work. You need the latest 8 update for SL.
