H2O.. all the way!! ( i am a runner and a singer so.. naturally)
Tea.. for those late night sessions
ice cold starwberry milk with a hint of chocolate syrup.. a 2 AM brain freeze to keep me up. this is taken after the effect of the tea have worn off.

DR Pepper.. in case the mild doesn't work.

#1 - COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#2 - CocaCola!!!
#3 - Water

Alcohol is definatly out these days... it may enhance inspiration, but the results are usually disastarous - not to mention hangovers...
Was it Shakespear who said roughly "alcohol increaseth desire, but decreaseth performance".

Caffiene boosts the spirit and makes you excited about what you are working on!

Since my blood sugar doesn't allow me to enjoy caffeine anymore, I drink tea, but only caffeine free tea. Lately I have been drinking Mighty Tea's Citrus Chamomile. Love it. If not tea, than good old fashioned water for me.
