video card
I'm looking to buy a video card for PT 10. Other than the AVID recommendations, what 2 monitor card is proven to work stably?
Win 7 x64 Home Premium i7 920 (socket 1366) Gigabyte EX58-UD4 12GB DDR3 (Kingston 2GB x4 / Vengeance 4GB x1) ATI Radeon HD 3450 Mackie Onyx 820i |
Re: video card
Well I use an Nvidia gtx 590 card with dual monitors and it works perfectly so far. But this is a fairly high end card and is kind of expensive.

Re: video card
Yeah, I'm not looking to spend that much as I have a mobile rig & a home rig to buy for. I'm just looking for a proven, £100 card which isn't going to give me any probs.
Thanks |
Re: video card
Well from what I know, nvidia cards tend to have better luck then ATI.

Re: video card
Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced Nvidia card
Capable of dual monitors which is proven to give good stability. |
Re: video card
For Pro Tools GeForce GTX 200 series. For any thing more GTX 500 series.

Re: video card
By the way how is your Onyx 820i running with Pro Tools?

Re: video card
Ahhh... I've just reconfigured my hardware synthesizers to be streamed through the Onyx 820i. So far so good. I'll be switching playback engines with Pro Tools tomorrow.
