Top Menu (file, edit, view,...) appears cut off on screen
 

My menu at the top appears cut off (see attached image). All the functions work normally, it is just annoying. It used to not be this way but suddenly Pro Tools started showing it like this and I have no idea how to get it back to normal.

When I start up Pro Tools, it appears normal but the moment everything is done loading and the dashboard appears it changes. I think it has something to do with my external monitor I use (it's an older TV with HDMI connectivity). But even when I'm not using an external monitor I still get the problem.

I also think everything in general is smaller than it should be (see attached image 2).

Does anyone know how to put it back to normal?

I think you just have to maximize the session window (not the whole Pro Tools, the floating Windows inside) and it will adapt to the space available without interfering with the tool bar

Its your DPI scaling setting.

Look up:o guitardom probably nailed it. If not, its tough to give advice with so little information. How big is the screen and what resolution are you trying to use?

Pretty sure it is the scaling as mentioned.

Not at my PC currently, so steps might be a bit off..

Right click on the Pro Tools shortcut, Properties
Compatibility tab, Change settings for all users
Change high DPI settings
Check the Override checkbox and set it to System.

I get exactly what you are seeing when I adjust scaling in the Display Settings. PT likes to run at 100%, my eyes like to run at 125% (on a 4K 65" monitor). My solution is to always start PT at 100% scaling, once PT is up I adjust scaling to 125%. After I close PT I reset the scaling to 100%. If I forget to reset the scaling, the next time I start PT the menus are messed up as you show - Hey Avid, ever gonna fix this ?
