MBox 2 Micro Sound Quality

Hey there.

Has anyone compared the quality of the audio from an MBox 2 Micro and a Macbook Pro audio out?

Wondering if there is a noticeable/appreciable difference...

I noticed the internal interface of my iMac is quite noisy, especially with mics and hi-Z inputs. So, I'd assume the Mbox 2 Micro would be a safe improvement over that. ;)
