Izotope expanding
Looks like Izotope must have some exciting plans and new products up their sleeves. Wonder what's coming from them.

I like Izotope s/w but the description sure sounds like recording s/w to me. |
Re: Izotope expanding
$7.5MM is not that large a windfall for a company like iZotope - but I suppose it may have a huge impact if the money is earmarked for new R&D only.
Maybe they'll funnel a bit of that into a new position, for which I'll immediately apply... |
Re: Izotope expanding
Yeah I noticed their huge loan application.
I really think the DAW market is already oversaturated. However, that wouldn't stop them from taking a gamble. Personally, I think it would be a bad idea if they did. ...That is unless they were to focus on audio-post DAW. There may just be a niche there if it plays nicely with all the major NLEs out there. Perhaps they want to dive into the hardware domain?? |
Re: Izotope expanding
Well I am interested in seeing what they have in store. I am a fan of their products. Work well and their approach to their interface works well for me.

Love their products too, just their the upgrade for RX was too much given how much improvement its was over the last.
They still haven't gotten the round-tripping right for Logic. ProTools seems to be fine. I find it odd how they well allow you to read and edit CAF waves, but you can't save back into that format for Logic. Its a bit ridiculous given that its an extremely well thought out file format for the future. So in this case I'm kind of stuck working with BWF. it does the job, but I'm not as happy. |
