Bounced WAV doesn't translate PT 9

When I bounce my project the wav file is drastically different then what i heard during bounce and what I mixed.

It was recorded off of a LS9 through a Dante card, at 48/16 and I bounced both at 48/16 and 44.1/16 and both don't translate.

Thoughts?

Is it drastically different or are you listening to it through a different sound card and through iTunes possibly? How is it different?

I listened to it in protools when I pulled it back in, and in Finder. its mix and pans and fades etc are all different from what I mixed and what I heard during bounce

Are you bouncing stereo interleave and converting after the bounce? Did you put "Dither" across the master buss? Or are you bouncing with the same bit rate? Give us details on exactly how you're bouncing and make sure you DO put a "Dither" plug across the master buss if you ARE changing the bit rate.

I put dither on the main out, NO difference, I have tried every combination of bouncing and still nothing, they still bounce with out translating my mixes, very odd....

Is it possible that you are bouncing something other than the 1 & 2 main outs? Maybe that is why you are hearing one thing on the bounce but actually bouncing another signal path?

Did this just start to happen or has it always happened?

I would bet it's something along these lines. Your bounce source is probably different than your monitoring source.

I checked in all my out put settings... didn't seem to see anything odd.... not sure I would know how to bounce something other then what im hearing....

all my channels are set to output 1-2 and so is my main out.... all my inputs are N/A because my hardware ware isn't hooked up.

im trying a "Save Copy as" and seeing if that works.....

I also checked back on several other projects I have been working on but hadn't tried to bounce, one of them worked.... one had same problem, my only thought is, the one that worked had not been edited, the one that didn't had.... any correlation?... possibly a plug in issues? the "save as a copy" didn't help...

We're not talking about inputs/outputs within the session, we're talking about the "Bounce Source" in the Bounce To Disk window. I've seen it randomly get changed to a bus or alternate output path for no reason before, so check to make sure that your Bounce Source is set to output 1-2 and hasn't accidentally been switched to something else. If it's set to say Bus 1-2 instead of output 1-2, you'll hear your bounce fine as it goes down since you're monitoring through Output 1-2, but the bounced file will only have whatever was being sent to Bus 1-2 in it.
