Nugen Audio VISUALIZER Crashing ProTools 11.1.3
 

Hi There , Nugen Audio "Visualizer" Plug-in , is always crashing my protools projects .

I have just purchased Visualizer.

I have just installed it, and Opened Pro Tools Version 11.1.3 .

I inserted Visualizer (mono) into a mono audio track to open the visualizer Plug-in and then Authorized it using the online selection, where I was informed the operation was successful .

Upon closing the plugin (ie; clicking the top right close box ) pro tools instantly crashed .

I had to restart my Windows 7 PC and re-open pro tools again and Visualizer crashed again . I tried this one more time and same thing ????

I have just completed a total fresh & new windows 7 install to a formatted SSD, and full updates etc ,

...., and a fresh pro tools Install + all Plugs install etc also (incl all updates)

With all updates totally completed and OPTIMIZED for Total Maximum performance ....., everything is working perfectly with pro tools 11.1.3 (Latest Version) - and all associated plugins and V.I's + windows ....,

- After completing a new song all the way from tracking to mastering with zero errors to report what so ever from Pro Tools 11.1.3 , all Plugs and V.Is , or Windows (hooray) My system is sweet .

.........., NEXT STEP ....,


I Purchased NUGEN AUDIO VISUALIZER .

- installed and authorized Nugen Audio Visualizer to a perfectly running system and it keeps crashing Pro Tools everytime as described above ????? :(




Also worth noting ....,


VISUALIZER works on Pro Tools 10.3.9 (latest version) ....., but takes about 10 seconds to vanish off the screen once closed , when every other plugin would vanish off screen instantly when closed . ??? :(



My PC DETAILS ;

Windows 7 , service pack one ( all up to date 100%)
Toshiba Qosmio Laptop -
- Intel i7 , 1.87Ghz
- 16Gb ram,
- Main operating system SSD , Samsung 840 pro (500Gb)
- secondary storage HHD - 7200rpm
- Audio Interface - MBox Pro (Avid)



Is anyone else having this issue ??????????? ..., as It is I cannot use Visualizer at all while its crashing Pro Tools like it is .:confused:

I have it on Mac and have had no issues.

I would uninstall the plugin, delete any associated pref files, and then reinstall and relicense.

Still No go :( , I uninstalled , used trasher to recycle pro tools prefs, dug deep on C:drive for any remaining files ..., even deactivated plug -in , re downloaded the plugin to make sure original file was not corrupted ...., cleaned regestry

re-installed , opened pro tools , opened plug-in , activated ..., all seems good until I close the plug-in - then it continues to crash pro tools

- it doesnt matter if its an insert on a mono track , a stereo track , or via the audio suite - they all crash protools :(:(:(

...., still waiting for tech support to respond :(

Tech support with Avid or Nugen? This is one you should take to Nugen, not Avid.

Further troubleshooting..................................,

Ive uninstalled again ,

..., and also reluctantly converted my authorization to ilok and downloaded the visualizer for ilok exe , redeeded and authorized etc on ilok ,

- installed nugen for ilok ....,

and even that version is still crashes pro tools :(

I hope nugen reply soon , I hope they will give me some good news (eventually) ...,as I am dreading to hear that its a windows thing they need to fix ,and then leave me hanging in the lurch forever with a useless plug-in .

- just like antares are doing to me now with their useless /non working mic mod fx plugin (6 months+ so far)

I am sure the Nugen guys will fix it ASAP. Have confidence. It runs great on mac. They are very nice and very responsive and they have very large brains too!

..., as far as Analyzers Plugs go , this Nugen Audio plug looks like a real good one ;)

..., and sorry, I didnt mean to sound negative ,

Most of the time I will first trial a plug-in , but with the Visualizer ..., the discount that Audio Deluxe were offering + reading reviews and seeing you-tube clips of the Visualizer had me sold straight away ......,

I was first excited and only anticipating good things from my new & latest plugin purchase ..., but was later really disappointed to find out it didnt work :(


I just heard from Nugen ..., not much info to give as yet ..., but Nugen is suspecting the trouble apparently lies with the Visualizer plugin having some sort of unknown conflicts with certain NVIDIA video cards ?
I hope they find a fix soon and release the update .

I too am having the plugin crash...rather unfortunate as I prefer it a little more than iZotope's Insight. A temporary workaround could be the Blue Cat analyzer...still, having just purchased it must be frustrating. I'll see if I can dig around as well.
