Which ethernet adapter for S3 AVB?
 

Hi, I have an S3 on the way, just realized a plain usb-c to ethernet dongle won’t transmit AVB. What is everybody using? I have an Anker 7 to 1 usb c dongle, which should work for the control surface mode.

Also, is there a way to get both AVB and internet via ethernet into my macbook pro (2019) without using 2 separate dongles?

I think AVB will work with a plain usb to ethernet adapter as long as you macbook has thunderbolt built in.

There are several on the market... it can't be plain USB C though... as USB C does not pass AVB... TB 3 does.

For Carbon we qualify the Apple TB3 --> TB2 + TB2 --> Ethernet. You have to do the double dongle since Apple does not make a TB3 - Ethernet. There are some other companies that Make TB3 --> Ethernet, but we had issues with them during Carbon AVB qualifications, so I would assume you'd hit them with S3 as well.

For Eucon, you can use any USB C --> Eth adapter.
