How do I move a section from one session into another session?

Hello,

I have used ProTools for years and find it hard to believe there's not some way to do this.

I have two sessions for the same song. One is the radio edit and one is the club mix.

Right now I want to copy sections of the radio edit back into the session that is the club mix, because there's no easy way to remember and change all the dozens of edits I made to the radio edit since the last time I was working on the club mix.

Is there really no way to do this?

Create a region group - export it and import it.

How have I lived my life so long not knowing this?

Not everything is transferring; I assmue this is to be exected?

Immediately I notice missing automation, etc. Those were some of things I was hoping it would magically map... but without them I am still incredibly happy at learning this trick, thank you very much for responding!

(I knew there was more than one reason I upgraded.)

Alternatively do a 'save session as' a make a second version of the whole session.
