Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here

No the 3000 will be fine for acoustics. Better than the others. I just thought that was what I was hearing as far as mics are concerned. I always double mic acoustics. The last song I posted actually had 4 mics on the guitar. Made them play it twice and panned all the tracks (8 total) to the left and right respectively.

The BF76 is a great plugin to use and learn - so YES learn it. better and worse... all how you use it.

HATE THE PODs so no comment there.... :-)

The benefit about Busses is that you can have multiple tracks send to the BUSS and use that effect to different degrees. I think that you are misunderstanding how to send to it? maybe not, but....

1. Create a STEREO AUX track and put a reverb on it.

2. Make that INPUT on that AUX track be BUS 1/2

3. Take your guitar track (say solo guitar) and send it with a BUS, not the TRACK OUTPUT to BUS 1/2. ( A separate Fader should come up for control.

4. Raise the initial AUX track (reverb) to 0bd. Control click the Solo button to SOLO Safe the track. That way it is now always on when you solo tracks. This is good because if you are listening you want to hear all the effects on the track. Try it unsafed and you will see what I
mean.

5. Now take the BUS (send) level and start to raise it... You will hear the reverb appliying itself to just the guitar part.

6. Continue to do this with all the tracks that you think need that verb and adjust the levels to taste.

That is using an effect on a BUS and applying several tracks to the same effect. Why is this good....? REVERBS TAKE UP HUGE AMOUNTS OF CPU POWER.....

Better ways to manage your mixes and CPU power.

Usually the FX that I know will be across the board are added ina BUS. You have 16, so use them wisely... I DO NOT make Compressors go to a BUS, but it can be done. I tend to have a long tailed reverb, a short reverb, a 2 tap delay and some other secrets taht I put into the mix. A lot of my verbs are sent out to hardware verbs (Lexicon PCM-90 and Eventide H-3000) but I still use a couple custom settings that I made in TrueVerb. All depends on the mix.

Hope this helps?

Re: Latest Stuff...

Paul Curtiz and I wrote this song a while back, and I just remixed it. Paul wrote the lyrics/melody and sang the vocals, and I did the music. Thanks for listening...

I'd say that you have a good start, but it is really, really hot... Not sure if that is intentional, but it sounds too hot and is distorting.

Not bad though.

Understand... I was not riping on it, just stating some stuff. Not trying to upset. The song was pretty cool though. I am working with a band like that tonight actually. Just finished up a project and am pressing to the next. This month it seems that I have a lot like that.
