Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here
BRB- thats nice, man! This is actually from about 6 years ago, but i'm feelin the Pink Floyd vibe. My band did an "electric" cover of Floyd's "Pigs on The Wing 1 & 2". it was a bonus track on our cd and there is about 30 sec of "an old record" scratching at the start. listen to "POTW". somehow i posted it on mp3.com.

soundsurfr,
Finally, I got a chance to sit back and listen. Killer as usual... I know 'Saints and Sinners' has the power hitters on it, but man, I love 'Forward and Back' the most personally. What are you tuned down to, a Db? Just the pureness of it, I guess that's what I needed right now. Great stuff, my friend... Dr. John, I have to commend you too. There are some really excellent, inventive things happening in your productions. Good show! Sheesh, I'm startin to sound English... Robb, I have to buy your CD 'cause I can only download stuff from MP3.com (but I'll be glad to buy it, if it's as good as what I've heard). Two Rooms, I think I woke up once at the Dragon's Inn, and that music was on the radio... Was that you? ............Very interesting production... Thanks for the listen, Roy |

The sonic quality could be better...but I'm a surgeon ...not an engineer! |

Well, nice to know the guy cutting me open has good taste in music...
Now, if he was only Meg Ryan... <BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:<HR>Originally posted by Dr.John: Thanks much....we are still on a long (flat) learning curve... ok people....watch your step.... I knew all that left-hand guitar practice would come in handy one day, the trick was to learn to play electric guitar without being killed by your parents...it was the early 80's..no headphone amps no digital anything. Lots of foam on the walls of my bedroom. My folks are proud of me though.... surgical guitar skills

Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here
I just finished a couple of tunes for an artist named Ken Elevan. If any of you would like to give them a listen, I would appreciate any input.
You can find them at http://www.mp3.com/kenelevan ~J |

You mean, the music on radio was so loud that it woke you up Yupz, it was played over the radio (initially, the station play it like 5 to 6 times a day) to introduce the sitcom. Are you in Singapore also? Else how did you get to hear the song? Internet radio? Also, do you guys find this piece over "compressed / limited" also?? Regards, [Charles] www.two-rooms.com |
Re: Let\'s hear your latest stuff....right here
two rooms,
Nope, not in Singapore. Nope, didn't really hear it on the radio. Was a joke. You say it was used in a "Mandarin sitcom"? Well, here that means Situation-Comedy, and the music themes for them are meant to have a humorous tone. Thus, I didn't think it was in poor taste. Didn't know it was meant as a serious piece. Please forgive me... as I said, interesting productions. 'Timeless Dreams' is very pretty. Roy http://basstardz.dhs.org/roy/ |
