JFranze,
Finally got to listen to Ms. Rigel, and you did a very good job on the mix... I like her voice very much. Have you done any more with Ken Elevan lately? Thanks, Roy

Good Evening to you all...

After a little bit of grief with my server, it is back up and running again. I have posted another song to the site to grab for comments. The two songs up for review are Stoned Again and Daddy's Little Girl. I have included the link below...

Thanks for listening, hope to hear from you soon.

Does that sound right, or will it be faster later? I do want to listen. Thanks, Roy

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">57 minutes? WOW! It only takes me 2 minutes, but I'm on a DSL line. Even on a 56k it shouldn't take quite that long. I'd give it a second try, hopfully it was just holiday traffic.

funkdefino/Drew,
Got it... I love it, man. I think you did an excellent job on it. Sounds like you had some nice ingredients to work with in the first place, and you used them very well. My daughter (12) happened to be here when I played it, and she whispered in my ear, 'Very cool...' I agree.
Be sure to post your new projects as they come...

Thanks, Roy

Thanks allot guys!

Sonic Foundry regularly has these competitions. If anyone is interested in joining this competition and remixing this same song, here is the link.
FrouFrou

BTW. You don't have to do the mix entirely in Acid. You can work on it in ProTools and then export your parts to Acid for arrangement.

They even have a free version of Acid for you to arrange your song in if you don't already have one of your own.

Granted it isn't as robust as 4.0, but it still is pretty bad ass.

Sorry if this is considered a double post (being that it's under the XMAS song topic too), but here are some "previews" of my latest stuff:

If you're at all interested in hearing a full length version of one of these, let me know.

All right, heres my first creation using ProTools

Keep in mind that the live drums and vocals have not been recorded yet.
I would really appreciate ANY suggestions/critiques in the mixing, sound, balance, etc. I'm still learning this.

Also, can someone with decent speakers tell me how it sounds on them. I've just been doing headphone mixes and hoping santa is especially nice to me this year!
