can't create new file (error message below)
 

I am simply trying to open a new session in Pro Tools 10. I recently registered and plugged in my Mbox Mini, but I doubt this is what's causing the problem. I could be wrong.
Here's the error message I'm getting:

Could not create a new document because Assertion in "/Volumes/Development/ws.Encore/AlturaPorts/DFW/MacBuild/../Views/UMenu.MacOS.mm", line 1351.

Any ideas? I spent a lot of money on this software and I'd like to be able to use it.

quit protools

trash the preferences

re-open protools
