22.6 and deleting fades
Hey
Wonder is anyone else seeing this behaviour? Usually if a region has a fade out you can delete a portion of that fade and it shortens the fade to that length. Now it is simply deleting the fade entirely. Pretty annoying and slows things up considerably. |

Hi garret,
Would you like to offer a little more detail on what you are trying to do and some context for others to reply. Regards |
Re: 22.6 and deleting fades
I think Garret explained it quite well, actually.

Re: 22.6 and deleting fades
Hi garret,
Removing a portion of say a cross fade if the audio is separated causes it to cut the fade when removed just trying a test myself. If the fade is from the beginning the complete fade is removed and not shortened. Just wonder if this has anything to do with separate at selection or the Batch Fades for audio in ProTools. Regards |
Re: 22.6 and deleting fades
This is expected behavior(at least has been here for as long as I remember). To shorten or lengthen a fade, use the [ tool to edit the length. This is changing a fade, not deleting a portion of an existing fade. Selecting the clip with the entire fade and hitting delete is supposed to remove the fade. Sometimes, deleting a fade and re-doing it is the fastest method(I have done both methods and can't say I have a preference). Not sure if I explained that well, but hopefully I did:o

Re: 22.6 and deleting fades
"Preserve fades when editing" tick box under preferences somehow got unticked. Problem solved
