Full installer download question
 

My wife runs PT8MP on a windows box. She just changed computers, but can't re-install as the new computer comes with Windows 7 and her installer disc is only 8.0. On the Avid website we can only download updaters, not a newer installer.

I read in a thread somewhere else on the DUC that we need to simply request a full installer download form Avid for 8.0.3, however I've gone around in circles on the Avid site trying to find where to send this request.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction? Thanks so much.

Was this software ever registered with Avid? And if so does the full installer (for 8.0.3?) show up in that user's account on Avid.com?

Thanks Darryl,

We looked and it seems that the full installer download is only made available when the product was originally purchased as a download. This one was bought as a store boxed product, so our account only shows updates. Unfortunately our 8.0 disc will not work for an initial installation on this new computer.
