Hard to Close Playback Engine Window
 

Hi, I just updated to Pro Tools 2022.7.0 & when I open up Playback Engine, there is no "OK" button to close it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I attached a screen shot.

You trashed prefs? Always start there. See "help us help you" up the top of each DUC web page. Use Pete Gates PT Prefs utility to make that easy.

You can also try creating a new admin account and test from there.

A suspect cause is you may have got display scaling set to something that helps push the [OK] Button off the bottom of that screen. Play with the Display scaling in macOS preferences.

Still stuck provide the exact display model/screen resolution and scaling settings being used where this happens.

Maybe the 'enter' key works, even if you can't see the OK button.

Strange thing, I've never seen that before, or anything like it, and I've used PT with macs for 20+ yrs, across many displays, resolutions etc. My guess is this is PT.

I have a hunch; all the different bug reports we're hearing about on the last few dot updates are because of the code being changed/prepared for apple silicon native, under the hood so to speak. But what do I know.

Still not seeing the 'OK' button.

Side note, lost Falcon with the upgrade so trying to see if I can get an older version that will work with my MAC OS.

People are seeing lots of anomalies with the last .dot updates. I always stay a few steps behind the last update because of this.
But I think it's best you create another thread about your Falcon problem, if you need to.
