Installing crossgrade from perp on new MacBook
 

Hi. I just got a new MacBook and I guess now have to crossgrade to a subscription because the perp doesn't work on Catalina.

Will my old plug-ins still work or are there compatibility issues. I've got several ex PT user buddies who switched to Logic, but I've already begun a project and don't want to change horses in midstream.

I just wanna make sure my plug ins will work, but admittedly am bummed about my perpetual not being usable. I don't use a ton of features and just make my own albums at home.

While Avid stopped selling reinstatements at the end of last year, many dealers still have stock. If you buy a reinstatement, you will keep your perpetual license, get a new 1 year support and upgrade plan, and be able to renew that plan before it's expiration date and 30-day grace period have expired.

Yep, try that first (and remember to renew while the plan is still active).

As for plugin you use, you will need to double-check each and every one of them and likely download fresh installers.
