Peak LED stays on - Huge issue!!
Hi all,
I have an mbox original and a mac mini 1.5ghz core solo. I just finished upgrading my ram to 2gb's in my mac mini. Everything was fine before and now whenever I start the mac, the mbox peak light for source 1 input stays lit. this is causing the audio that the mbox is processing to sound distorted. Nothing is plugged into source 1, i have disconnected and reconnected, trashed prefs and ddb's, installed the latest mbox firmware, made sure my clock source is set to internal and unplugged everything other than the usb cable at the back of the mbox. Any ideas? Have i fried my mbox? Neil. |

Re: Peak LED stays on - Huge issue!!
1. Can you post your full system spec (OS, PT version, HD, peripherals etc). I take it you're running a version of PT that compatible with the Mac Mini/OS?
2. Any non Intel compatible plugs? 3. If you take out the additional RAM stick, does the problem persist? http://www.myspace.com/philogg |
Re: Peak LED stays on - Huge issue!!
Hi Phil,
Thanks again for the reply. I really think this is my mbox hardware as i have a pc running pro tools le also and when i plugged it into the windows pc it did exactly the same thing. is there a way to completely reboot/reset the mbox? Otherwise how long is the hardware warranty? btw no non-intel plugs. I am sure as I only have digirack plugs on this version and they were all loaded with 7.1.1 Model Name: Mac mini Model Identifier: Macmini1,1 Processor Name: Intel Core Solo Processor Speed: 1.5 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 1 L2 Cache: 2 MB Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 667 MHz Capacity: 55.89 GB Model: FUJITSU MHV2060BHPL Volumes: Macintosh HD: Capacity: 55.44 GB Available: 26.84 GB Writable: Yes File System: Journaled HFS+ Haven't tried the ram stick yet, but as it is doing in on the windows machine, i doubt this is the issue Neil |
