What changes are "under the hood" of PT8?

Digidesign,

A lot is said about the new GUI, and other things that are readily seen, but what new things are there 'under the hood' of the latest PT release?

I think they changed it to a V-12 fuel injected with 7-speed manual tranny and nitr...oops...wrong forum..

I was going to post a similar thread...
Can anyone confirm whether RTAS efficiency has been improved?
Any beta testers care to comment on RTAS plugin counts?

Nope, still 16 miles to the gallon and 24 valves! but i think there's a turbo option with 2 hair dryer type thingies.
