Check your pan controls on the stereo track, I suspect they are panned centre (12 o'clock). Pan the left hand one fully anticlockwise and the right hand one fully clockwise.

Open the MBox pro system pref / driver / mixer software and above the master fader is a "width" knob. if it's panned to the left everything will be mono that comes out of the mbox regardless of what you do in pro tools. Pan it all the way to the right to have Pro Tools output in stereo like it should.
