Re: Permission issues?

Is this the G5?
Possible newer than OS plug-ins or other applications?
Might try Cocktail to clear-rotate kernel cache.
I usually have some un-repaired permission.

Just some thoughts.

Permissions run from another drive / disk might be more complete.

Yes, it's the G5. I've recently gone up to Leopard and PT 7.4.2. Oh, I've forgotten to install Cocktail on the new system drive. Will do. But, what do you mean by "clear-rotate kernel cache"?

I got the DVD with DiskWarrior a couple days ago, and I know there's some options for the system drive if I boot from that, but I must read up on it first. Thanks.

Re: Permission issues?

In Cocktail>Files>Caches go into options.
There you can select a variety of caches to clear.
Kernel caches are not selected by default.
This can also be part of the Pilot if your walking away for awhile.

Be sure you get the PPC version of cocktail.

I see. There's different versions for Tiger, Leopard and SL, but I haven't found any info about a specific version being Intel only. I've installed 4.6.2 for Leopard.

Thank you.
