Is the MTRX Studio working with M1 Max MBP?

Hi guys,

I have an M1 Max MBP (macOS Monterey) and I'm trying to hook up my MTRX Studio with DADman and Dante Virtual Soundcard. Is this setup working for anyone?

While DADman and DVS open up fine, I can't seem to get MTRX Studio to show up on the device list in DADman.

Hi

According to this Dadman is not supported in Monterey for intel or M1. Yikes! Have you got yours working?

Is anybody else running MTRX + Dadman under Apple silicon M1 and Monterey?

Cheers

Yeah, That video was before Avid officially supported Monterey. :-)

I've been using my MTRX Studio with my M1 Max macbook pro with Pro tools and DADman since 2nd week of Dec last year. First gig was an opera recording. It's been incredibly solid for recording, and now mixing with almost all of the plugins working, and I'm not missing the ones that don't too much. I do hope that there's some hope of the Exponential audio plugins being supported natively by Izotope.

I’m using my MTRX Studio, Dadman and Virtual Sound Card just fine with Monterey 12.3.1/MPB M1|Pro. Dadman is not officially supported under Monterey but i have had no issues.

The latest version of Virtual Soundcard is M1 native and 12.3 approved.

I’d look to the Ethernet adaptor on the laptop you’re using. Many don’t work properly with Dante. Try an official Apple one.

Ah, so it seems like the Belkin Ethernet > USB-C dongle I was using was incompatible with the M1 Mac for some strange reason. It worked fine with the Intel Macs.

With the Apple dongle I got the MTRX Studio up and running.

According to Apple that device is compatible with M1 Macs:

What issues were you observing?

The MTRX Studio wasn't showing up in DADman when using the Belkin adapter. I also just upgraded to macOS 12.3, not sure if that fixed some issue.

Using my old Ethernet > TB2 > TB3 yesterday after the macOS update it connected just fine. I'll check the Belkin again and report back.
