What do people do when they have run out of location markers?
Hard to believe we just have a limited amount of markers in 2021......
what do people do when they run out (Avid please look at markers, current implementation is so Windows 95) sad also you can't highlight a load and delete them, instead you have to click on each one, go into the menu and scroll down to delete... sheeez, so time consuming |
Re: What do people do when they have run out of location markers?
I use the Soundflow app that lets you pull sets of them in and out of a session. You can have a set for scene boundaries etc etc.
Or I think there's a free app that will do the same thing, maybe someonewill chime in on that. I totally agree, we should have unlimited markers, multiple lanes and colours etc. How hard can that be to implement in the software and it would be a huge benefit in post. |

But yes, we need a more powerful marker system in PT. |

Seconding the need for more markers, and please please please an option to color-code them. Those two things would be a HUGE benefit to longform post-production workflows.

You can alt click on them to delete them, but maybe you knew that?
Empty clip groups as markers is the other work around. |

Thanks all, Nathaniel I didn't know about multiple selection deletion in marker track, that'll save a bit of tedium! been using alt click....
I didn't realise Soundflow had this functionality... I've used EdiMarker a few years ago but it means basically exporting / importing all the markers... It used to be free but now they've updated it and its paid, maybe I try the trial and see if it can fit into my workflow... i dream of unlimited markers (colour coded)!! |
