sound designer question
I have some sd files that need the left and right channels to be reversed

I believe any Pro Tools/Mac setup can open SD II files. As for swapping L&R, probably if you rename the audio files(swapping the L and R at the end of the file names), that might be all you need. Since you can't have 2 files of the same name, probably you would take the file ending in L and change that to X. Then rename the right to end in L, then rename the left to end in R(instead of the X).

Just listen to it with your headphones on backwards. :D Seriously, though. Yeah, if it's dual mono, change the names. But it's probably interleaved stereo. (That's right, ladies and gents, unlike pre-10 PT, Sound Designer could actually work directly with interleaved stereo files! Weird, huh?) In that case, drag and drop it to the PT timeline in a session of the same sample rate and bit depth as the file, then remove it from the session without deleting the files, then change the names as albee suggested.
